Laser Mech Laser Nozzle – 1.0 / 1.2 / 1.5 / 2.0 / 2.5 / 3.0 / 4.0 mm – M16
A laser cutting nozzle shapes the assist-gas jet and stabilises the plasma at the cut front. Nozzle type, thread and orifice diameter directly control kerf width, dross and edge quality on carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminium, making nozzles one of the most frequently replaced consumables on a fibre laser.
Laser Mechanisms double-layer nozzle, M16 thread.
Key features
- Chrome-plated copper body: high thermal conductivity and resistance to spatter adhesion
- Precision orifice, concentric to the thread axis, for a stable, symmetric gas jet
- Clean thread that seats without galling, so nozzle changes stay quick
- Available in single-layer and double-layer versions and in multiple orifice sizes
- Direct replacement for OEM nozzles

Compatibility
Designed for Laser Mech laser cutting heads that use this exact thread and orifice. Laser Mechanisms double-layer nozzle, M16 thread. Laser Mechanisms fibre and CO2 heads using M12 / M16 nozzle threads. If your head has been upgraded or you are unsure, cross-reference the OEM part number or send us a photo of the old part and we will confirm before you order.
Installation & maintenance
- Single-layer nozzles: preferred for nitrogen / air cutting of stainless steel and aluminium, where a tight, high-velocity jet is needed.
- Double-layer nozzles: preferred for oxygen cutting of thick carbon steel, where the outer shroud shields the jet.
- Match the orifice to material thickness: small orifices for thin sheet, larger orifices for thick plate and high power.
- Check the tip after every crash or long pierce; ream the orifice or replace the nozzle when dross or edge quality drifts.
